Indian cricketer KL Rahul and his wife, actress Athiya Shetty, recently hosted a successful 'Cricket For Charity' auction, raising 1.93 crores. The event, which took place in Mumbai, was organised to support the Vipla Foundation's mission of providing quality education to underprivileged children. The event highlighted the power of sports to unite people for a noble cause, transcending the boundaries of the cricket field to make a significant impact on the lives of children in need.

During the auction, the highest amount was collected from Virat Kohli's signed Team India jersey which fetched 40 lakhs. Apart from his jersey, Kohli's signed batting gloves earned 28,00,000.

The 'Cricket For Charity' auction, hosted by Rahul and Athiya saw an impressive turnout and bidding.

Rohit Sharma's signed cricket bat was sold and raised whooping 24 lakhs while the signed batting gloves got 7.50 lakhs. Moreover, Mahendra Singh Dhoni's bat, along with his signed gloves, also drew considerable attention, fetching 13 lakhs and 3.5 lakhs, respectively.

Moreover, Jaspirt Bumrah's signed Team India Jersey, former coach Rahul Dravid signed cricket bat collected 8,00,000 and 11,00,000 respectively.

The list also included international players including Jos Butler signed Rajasthan Roayals Jerysey, Quinton De Kock signed wicket-keeping Gloves, Nicholas Pooran's Lucknow Super Giants Jerysey which collectively earned 2.10 lakhs.

Crickter KL Rahul put several of his things on auction which signed his cricket bat, signed Team India Jersey, Team India Cap, batting pads, Team India Helmet, signed batting gloves, signed Test Jersey signed by the Team which all collected 32.20 lakhs.

KL Rahul to be seen next in Duleep Trophy

KL Rahul will be seen plaing in the Duleep Trophy. The Duleep Trophy, which marks the beginning of red-ball cricket in the domestic season, will feature top India stars from the international circuit and emerging talents competing at the highest level.

The tournament is set to begin on September 5, 2024, in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh and M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru.
