Virat Kohli is all set to achieve a massive cricketing record against New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday (March 2) as the former India captain is set to become the first cricketer in the world to complete 300 ODIs, 100 Tests and 100 T20Is in his career. 

Virat Kohli, who scored an unbeaten hundred against Pakistan in the last match, is currently at 299 ODIs, 123 Tests and 125 T20Is. India have already qualified for the semifinals with wins over Bangladesh and Pakistan. They will play the semifinal in Dubai on March 4. 

However, India's opponents are yet to be decided as a clear picture will come up after the commencement of India vs New Zealand encounter. South Africa and Australia have qualified from Group B.     

Captain of the triumphant Indian team in 2008 U-19 World Cup in Malaysia, Virat Kohli made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2008. However, he cemented his spot in the playing XI two years later and there has been no looking back since then. 

The stylish right-hander took up ODI leadership from MS Dhoni in 2013. It was during his hundred against Pakistan, Virat Kohli became the fastest to 14000 ODI runs, surpassing legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara of Sri Lanka. He also has 51 ODI centuries.

7 - Virat Kohli will become the seventh Indian cricketer to play 300 ODIs for the country. Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Sourav Ganguly, Mohammed Azharuddin, Yuvraj Singh and Rahul Dravid have played 300 or more ODIs for India.    

51 - Virat Kohli is just 51 runs shy of becoming India's top run-scorer in Champions Trophy history. He has so far scored 651 runs in 15 matches. Virat Kohli's former teammate Shikhar Dhawan holds the record for most runs by an Indian batter with 701 runs.  

142 - Virat Kohli is just 142 runs behind to go atop the charts for most runs in ICC Champions Trophy history. West Indies' Chris Gayle still leads the chart with 791 runs. 

106 - Virat Kohli can overtake Sachin Tendulkar for most runs against New Zealand in ODIs if he manages 106 more runs on Sunday. In 31 ODIs, Virat Kohli has scored 1645 runs against the Kiwis so far as compared to Sachin Tendulkar’s 1750 runs.
