Reacting on the suspension of IPL 2025, Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly said, as ANI quoted, “There is a war-like situation, so this decision had to be taken... I hope the IPL will start again... BCCI will complete the IPL and this kind of situation will not last long because Pakistan will not be able to sustain India's pressure...BCCI is a very efficient organisation and they will find a solution...”

IPL 2025 Called Off Live Updates: After the BCCI suspended Tata IPL  2025 for a week, its broadcast and streaming rights holder JioStar on Friday said the company stands firmly committed to prioritise national interest over all other considerations. 

The firm lauded BCCI and said it will work with the cricket body to bring back IPL at an appropriate time.

"We, at JioStar, wholeheartedly support the BCCI's decision to suspend TATA IPL 2025 and stand firmly committed to prioritise national interest over all other considerations.

It further said, “We will work with the BCCI to bring back the tournament at an appropriate time.”

IPL 2025 Called Off Live Updates: Amid the India-Pakistan tensions, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday announced that it has decided to suspend the remainder of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 with immediate effect for one week.

The media advisory was released by BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia, who added that further updates regarding the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be announced in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with relevant authorities and stakeholders.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to suspend the remainder of the ongoing TATA IPL 2025 with immediate effect for one week. Further updates regarding the new schedule and venues of the tournament will be announced in due course after a comprehensive assessment of the situation in consultation with relevant authorities and stakeholders," BCCI said in a statement.

"The decision was taken by the IPL Governing Council after due consultation with all key stakeholders following the representations from most of the franchisees, who conveyed the concern and sentiments of their players, and also the views of the broadcaster, sponsors and fans ; while the BCCI reposes full faith in the strength and preparedness of our armed forces, the Board considered it prudent to act in the collective interest of all stakeholders."

"At this critical juncture, the BCCI stands firmly with the nation. We express our solidarity with the Government of India, the Armed Forces and the people of our country. IPL 2025 Called Off Live Updates: The PBKS vs DC IPL match was called off on Thursday as a precaution amid red alert being issued in Jammu region. A video of IPL cheerleader has now emerged saying that everyone at the stadium was screaming that there were bombs coming. 

“The whole stadium was evacuated in the middle of the game. It was very scary. Everyone was screaming that there were bombs coming. It still is very scary. We want to really leave Dharamsala. I hope IPL people are going to look after us. I don't know why I'm not crying; maybe I'm still in shock.” the cheerleader said in her video.
