ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Schedule: Days after announcing the host nations for the Champions Trophy, the International Cricket Council on Tuesday announced that the India vs Pakistan will take place in Dubai on 23 February 2025. 

The much-awaited ICC tournament will take place over 19 days and be co-hosted by Pakistan and the UAE from 19 February onwards.

According to the ICC schedule, the tournament will begin on 19 February in Karachi and conclude on 9 March. Eight teams will participate in 15 matches.

The matches in Pakistan will be played in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi. Each venue in Pakistan will feature three group games apiece, with Lahore hosting the second semi-final.

Lahore will also host the final on 9 March, unless India qualify, in which case it will be played in Dubai. Both the semi-finals and the final will have reserve days.

However, the three group matches involving India, as well as the first semi-final, will be played in Dubai. All matches will be day-night encounters.

7.30 pm: Washington Sundar or Ryan Parag?

Another battle is between who will BCCI pick in the squad -- Washington Sundar or Ryan Parag? As of now, Sundar is running ahead and is likely to be part of the Champions Trophy squad.

7.15 pm: Javed Miandad lauds PCB

Former Pakistan skipper Javed Miandad appeared satisfied by the outcome of ICC's meeting and lauded PCB for the negotiations in recent weeks.

Commending PCB's approach, Miandad said the board did well to figure out a level-headed and diplomatic solution despite India’s refusal to play in Pakistan for the first time since 2008.

6:55 pm: Yashasvi Jaiswal out of squad?

Yashasvi Jaiswal will be part of the ODI squad after the end of the Champions Trophy. Right now, the team is already so stacked up that it is hard to fit him in.

6:45 pm: Rishabh Pant axed?

27-year-old Rishabh Pant is not in the scheme of things of the white Bowl after failing in 107 games; as per management, no one got as many opportunities as Pant, and he still failed.

6:40 pm: Mohammed Shami IN if..

India's star pacer Mohammed Shami will be selected if he is fit and he will replace Arshdeep Singh in the squad and Harshit Rana in XI.

The eight sides in the Champions Trophy competing for the famous white winners’ jackets are those who finished in the top eight positions on the points table of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

6:22 pm: Venues in the UAE

The venue for the matches that would take place in the UAE is Dubai. the three group matches involving India, as well as the first semi-final, will be played in Dubai.

6:22 pm: Venues in Pakistan

The venues for the matches that would take place in Pakistan are Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi.

6:20 pm: Groups

In Group A, ICC has kept Pakistan, India, New Zealand, Bangladesh. While in Group B, South Africa, Australia, Afghanistan, England have been included.

6:17 pm: India's first match

India will take on Bangladesh on 20 February in the Group A tournament match in Dubai.

6:15 pm: Opening match

Defending champions Pakistan will take on New Zealand in the Group A tournament opener in Karachi on 19 February.
