Musician Kanye West made waves again on Thursday with a multi-hour rant on X, urging President Donald Trump to “free” Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. The disgraced rapper remains behind bars, awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution.

The incident also comes mere days after Kanye West appeared for the Grammy Awards with his wife, Bianca Censori, dressed in a sheer outfit.

“They trying to make an example out of Puff. Me and my brother had our issues but these white people trying to use Puff to scare ni***s. I'm neither scared not brave. This just me [sic],” read one post.

During the late-night rant, Kanye West posted dozens of messages spanning a range of topics and also complained about this Instagram ban. It was not immediately clear what he was referring to in some of the posts — leaving many commenters baffled.

“Puff we love you [sic],” assured another message while a third urged US President Donald Trump to “please free my brother Puff [sic]”.

Several other messages lambasted fellow celebrities (without naming names) for failing to speak up in favour of the disgraced rapper. Kanye West, or Ye as he often prefers to be known, also hinted at a conspiracy theory targeting the other musician and lamented his condition in jail.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs remains in federal lockup ahead of his trial on sex trafficking, racketeering and prostitution charges. The musician is also facing an escalating barrage of lawsuits, as many have come forward with allegations of sexual assault and associated crimes. Combs was accused of abusing several women and leading Bad Boy Records as a "criminal enterprise" for more than a decade. He has, however, denied all accusations made against him.

The initial indictment accused him of manipulating and threatening women to engage in sexual acts with male sex workers, often transported across state and international borders. Prosecutors further allege that Combs used his position to control and exploit women and that he worked with his associates to cover up these activities. A new detail in the updated indictment involves an alleged 2016 assault on Combs' ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
