Anand Mahindra hails Virat Kohli's 51st century in IND vs PAK match, says ‘you are chosen one…’

Mahindra and Mahindra (M&M) Group's Chairman Anand Mahindra, on Sunday, February 23, congratulated Virat Kohli on his century win over Pakistan at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, according to a social media post on the platform X. 

Mahindra highlighted how he believes that Kholi's move and winning stroke with the precision delivered the win for India against Pakistan in Dubai.

“You know you are a ‘chosen one’ when your match-winning stroke also precisely delivers you your century…” said Anand Mahindra in his post on X.

India wins against Pakistan

India won against Pakistan on Sunday, February 23, by six wickets with 45 balls left as the team scored 244 runs at the Dubai International Stadium. Virat Kohli ended the match by scoring his 51st century in the India vs Pakistan match at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.

After the century, Virat Kohli became the first player in the world to score a hundred rounds against Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy, Asia Cup and ICC Champions Trophy.

Kohli also became the “Player of the Match” for the India vs Pakistan cricket match on Sunday. This was Virat Kohli's fifth award against Pakistan in the ICC tournaments. 

Earlier in 2022, Kohli became the player of the match against Pakistan in Melbourne with 82 runs and not out, then before that, in the 2016 T20 World Cup in Kolkata with 55 runs not out. He also was the player of the match in the 2015 ODI World Cup with 107 runs in Adelaide, and last but not least, the 2012 T20 World Cup with 78 runs against Pakistan in Colombo.

Pakistan initially won the toss on Sunday and decided to take batting first after scoring 241 runs in 49.4 overs. The loss for Pakistan came after losing to New Zealand, and with this loss, Pakistan's chance at winning the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
