Saif Ali Khan News Live: Authorities have detained a suspect from Chhattisgarh in connection with the knife attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

Aakash Kailash Kannojia was apprehended at Durg railway station after a train passenger recognised him from CCTV footage of the incident. Following the January 16 attack, which left Khan with multiple stab wounds, he underwent emergency surgery and is now recovering. 

The Mumbai police are expected to arrive in Raipur to take custody of Kannojia for further questioning as the investigation progresses.

From Bandra, he travelled to Dadar.

An official revealed to PTI that Salmani had worked at Saif Ali Khan's flat just two days prior to the stabbing incident. He was taken to the Bandra police station for further interrogation regarding his involvement in the attack.

-A laceration wound on the right side of his neck, measuring between 10-15 cm

-This injury extends from the back of his neck and mandible, over the right shoulder, and down to below the laceration side. 

-There is a small laceration (3-5 cm) on the front side of the neck, as well as a laceration on the left side of his back, measuring approximately 0.5-1 cm.
