Dinesh Kumar Sarogi, the CEO of an Oman-based company, has been charged under sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita after a woman, Ananya Chhaochharia, accused him of sexual harassment on a flight, reported India Today.

Ananya alleged that the 65-year-old CEO showed her adult movie clips on his mobile phone. Sarogi is the CEO of Oman-based Vulcan Green Steel, the steel arm of Vulcan Green, which is part of the Naveen Jindal-led group of companies.

The incident took place on a flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi. Ananya claimed how the CEO initiated a conversation with her, before he took out his phone. What started as a “normal conversation” about hobbies and families, soon turned into a gruesome incident when Sarogi showed the “movie clips,”mentioned the report.

Ananya further appreciated Etihad’s cabin crew for their prompt response. The crew had made her sit in their seating space, and had offered her fruits. Sarogi, however, kept calling the crew to ask about Ananya’s whereabouts, reported India Today.

Ananya Chhaochharia had further appealed to Naveen Jindal, MP and Chairman of Jindal Steel, to take necessary action “so that he is aware of the kind of people who are in leadership" positions.
