Singer and BJP MP Manoj Tiwari performs 'Hori Khele Raghuveera' to celebrate Holi, extending wishes to everyone ahead of festivities.

Giving his touch to the popular Holi song, Manoj Tiwari sang, “koi khele Dilli, koi khele Jaipur... Mauritius mei Modi ji khele, (somebody plays in Jaipur, somebody plays in Delhi, while Modi ji plays in Mauritius)” referring to PM Narendra Modi's latest visit. PM Modi embarked on a two-day visit to Mauritius to participate in the National Day celebrations as Chief Guest on March 12.

Tiwari extended Holi wishes to all the BJP party workers in Delhi.

“ ...We are celebrating Holi with all our party workers of Delhi. I congratulate all on the occasion of Holi...” the BJP leader told ANI.

Holi celebrations and Ramazan prayers on the same day

He addressed tensions over Ramzan prayers and Holi celebrations falling on the same day, Friday, March 14.

“Holi comes once a year, and those who are trying to create any kind of issue are not good. Holi waale Holi manaayein, Jumma wale Jumma manaayein (People celebrating Holi must stick to Holi festivities while people observing Ramzan must offer prayers),” Tiwari said.

Mosques in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi have planned to change timings of Friday prayers to adjust with Holi celebrations on March 14. This will be the second Friday of Ramadan, Islam's holy month of fasting.

“Holi and the second Jumma of Ramadan fall on March 14. In this connection, the Islamic Centre of India has extended the timings for offering prayers. Similarly, our Hindu brothers have adjusted the timings for Holi processions,” Maulana Khalid Rasheed Firangi Mahali, head cleric of Lucknow Eidgah, told ANI.

Holi, or the festival of colours, will celebrated across India on March 14. Holika Dahan 2025 will take place on the evening of Thursday, March 13. The Purnima Tithi (full moon phase) begins on March 13 at 10:35 am and ends on March 14 at 12:23 pm
