Dividend stock: Public sector undertaking (PSU) NMDC on Monday announced an interim dividend of ₹2.30 per share for the financial year 2024-25. This is the first interim dividend by the company for the ongoing financial year.
“The Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting held on Monday, 17th March 2025 inter-alia declared 1st Interim Dividend @ ₹2.30 (Rupees Two and thirty paise only) per equity share of face value of ₹1/- each for the financial year 2024-25,” NMDC said in a regulatory filing today.
The metal and mining company has fixed Friday, March 21, as the record date for the purpose of determining the shareholders eligible to receive the payment of said interim dividend.
“The said Interim Dividend shall be paid/dispatched within the prescribed timelines as per the provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 to those equity shareholders of the Company whose names appear in the Register of Members /records of Depositories as beneficial owners of the equity shares as on Friday, the 21st March 2025, which is the Record Date fixed for the purpose,” the exchange filing added.
NMDC has declared 44 dividends since August 2003, with its dividend payout over the past 12 months at ₹1.50 per share. According to Trendlyne data, NMDC's dividend yield is 2.31%.
Earlier this year, the PSU stock had declared a bonus share issue in the ratio of 2:1.
NMDC shares traded in the green during Monday's trading session, ending the trade at ₹64.96, up 1.77%.
Meanwhile, NMDC share price has risen 3.85% in the last one month, defying the ongoing selloff in the Indian stock market. During the same period, the BSE barometer Sensex has lost 2.40%. However, on a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the stock is down 1.55%.
