Adam Sandler shows up in shorts and sweatshirt at the Academy Awards 2025 amid all the glitz and glam.

“Adam, what are you wearing?” O’Brien asked Sandler from the stage. “You’re dressed like a guy playing video poker at 2 a.m.”

To this, Sandler responded.“Nobody even thought about what I was wearing until you brought it up. “I like the way I look. Because I’m a good person. I don’t care about what I wear and what I don’t wear. My snazzy gym shorts and fluffy sweatshirt offend you so much that you had to mock me in front my peers!”

During the segment, Sandler chose to leave the ceremony. However, before departing, he yelled “Chalamet!” into Timothée Chalamet’s ear in his typical style and then gave him a big hug. The stunt drew laughs from the crowd.

On his way out, he also also invited everyone in the room to a game of five-on-five basketball at Veteran Park tonight.

Chalamet attended this year's Academy Awards as the star of two 2025 best picture nominees: "A Complete Unknown" and "Dune: Part Two."

The movie star is nominated for starring in the Bob Dylan biopic, making him the youngest two-time Best Actor Oscar nominee since James Dean. He was previously back in 2018 for starring in romance film "Call Me By Your Name," though he lost that year to Gary Oldman.
