Delhi Election News LIVE: An FIR was registered against Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday amid continued outrage over his ‘Yamuna poisoning’ allegations. The development came mere hours before Delhi is slated to cast its ballots for the Assembly elections. The AAP had accused the ruling BJP in Haryana of intentionally draining industrial waste into the Yamuna — with Kejriwal alleging last week that the party was trying to kill people by "mixing poison" in the river.

Delhi Election News LIVE: “Paid holiday has been declared for the shop and establishment and also the staffs working in government and the private sectors and our bordering states, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, they have also declared a paid holiday. We have communicated and it's being widely publicised... I request all the voters of Delhi to utilise this application and also mobile phones, cameras, smart watches or any kind of electronic items are banned inside the polling station,” said Delhi Chief Electoral Officer R Alice Vaz.

Delhi Election News LIVE: The voting for the Delhi Assembly Election 2025 will take place between 7 am and 6 pm on Wednesday, February 5. Delhi Election News LIVE: Special Crime Branch's Special CP Devesh Chandra Srivastava said that 14 proclaimed offenders had been caught and 25 FIRs had been registered in connection with the violation of Model Code of Conduct (MCC).

“We have caught 14 proclaimed offenders...we have registered 25 FIRs in connection with the violation of MCC...in the last 24 hours, we have arrested 340 people under various sections of BNSS (Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita). Preparations for elections have been underway even before Model Code of Conduct (MCC) was implemented...today, all election parties are going to their respective polling booths with polling equipment...” he said.

Delhi Election News LIVE: AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Chief Minister Atishi met the Election Commission on Tuesday. They raised concerns over alleged intimidation tactics being used in the national capital ahead of the assembly polls. The former chief minister also alleged that attempts were being made to suppress voter turnout, particularly among slum dwellers.

“We told the EC how Delhi Police is being misused for violence and intimidation. Many people are scared, and it is possible that they may not come out to vote due to fear. There are reports that people’s fingers are being marked with black ink in an attempt to disenfranchise them, and that money and threats are being used to influence voters. We raised these concerns with the EC,” Kejriwal said.

Delhi Election News LIVE: Voting for 70-seat assembly seats in the national capital will take place on February 5 with the results being declared on February 8. Citizens of Delhi will begin casting their ballots from 7:00 am onwards at various polling booths in the National Capital.

Delhi Election News LIVE: Arvind Kejriwal has accused the Delhi Police of issuing threats to AAP candidate Jai Bhagwan Upkar. He shared a social media post by AAP Chief Media Coordinator Vikas Yogi that showed the Bawana candidate exchanging heated words with a Delhi police personnel.

“Amit Shah's goon, disguised as a policeman, is openly issuing threats. Amit Shah, India will not tolerate your hooliganism,” he wrote on X.

Delhi Election News LIVE: Delhi Police registered an FIR on Tuesday against Chief Minister Atishi, the AAP candidate from Kalkaji, for allegedly violating the Model Code of Conduct and obstructing public servants on duty. Police officials told PTI that she was with AAP supporters who allegedly obstructed an officer from doing his duty at Fateh Singh Marg. Two AAP members allegedly assaulted a police constable.
