Atishi won in Kalkaji constituency after defeating BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri on Saturday. The BJP leader gave a tough fight to Atishi and lost the election by a slim margin.

Atishi vs Alka Lamba vs Ramesh Bidhuri: As Aam Aadmi Party heavyweights Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia witnessed a crushing defeat, Atishi emerged as a silver lining for the party on Saturday. Atishi retained the Kalkaji constituency after defeating Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Ramesh Bidhuri by a slim margin.

According to the Election Commission of India's data, Atishi won 52,154 votes against BJP candidate Ramesh Bidhuri, who settled with 48,633 votes.

“I thank the people of Kalkaji for showing trust in me. I congratulate my team who worked against 'baahubal'. We accept the people's mandate. I have won but it's not a time to celebrate but continue the 'war' against the BJP…,” Atishi told reporters on Saturday.

BJP left no stone unturned to fuel the anti-incumbency wave in Delhi. BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri was eyeing to win the Delhi Assembly Elections by defeating Atishi in Kalkaji.

Atishi won in Kalkaji constituency in previous Delhi Elections

One of senios AAP leaders, Atishi Marlena won Kalkaji seat after receiving 55,897 votes during Delhi Assembly elections in 2020. She won the polls by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dharmveer, who got 44,504 votes. The Indian National Congress's candidate Shivani Chopra received 4,965 votes.

Delhi Elections 2025 Results

The Bharatiya Janata Party is all set to return to power after more than a decade in Delhi. As per the early trend by Election Commission of India at 11:50 am, BJP was leading in 45 seats, whereas Aam Aadmi Party is leading in 25 seats.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was trailing by 430 votes against BJP candidate Parvesh Sahib Singh. By the eighth round of vote counting in New Delhi constituency, Arvind Kejriwal has garnered 16473 votes and BJP candidate has won 16903 votes.

AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal was leading by 343 votes from the New Delhi seat after three rounds of counting. However, Kejriwal's former deputy Manish Sisodia was trailing by 1,314 votes in Jagpura.

In Kalkaji, Chief Minister Atishi was trailing the BJP's Ramesh Bidhuri by 1,149 votes after the first round of counting, the Election Commission (EC) data showed.

"The people will give the BJP a decisive mandate. Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, Delhi will progress alongside the rest of the country. I can confidently say that AAP will be eliminated from the national capital," Bidhuri said.
